I had a bit of a sewing machine fail the other day as well which hasn't made the commissioned quilt go well. Let's just say I believe some thread decided to jam my machine. I was not a happy camper on Saturday. I do plan on showing it once it has been finished and is out of my hands :)
But, I did get a bit of sewing done in between my vacation and now. I was asked if I could make a swing foam cover for under $30.
Typically this would be a no because even with a coupon you can't get foam for the cheap! But, I scored big time at an estate sale. There was a room dedicated to crafts and sewing. Embroidery hoops galore along with foam for $3! Score!
Yup that is a zipper you see. It was a nasty bugger. I hate zippers even though with practice they have become easier. And even though I don't show you (you'll have to believe me) I did french seams on the inside. I don't have a serger but wanted the cover to be washable. Look at me go!
With summer on my mind we should all go out and enjoy it while it lasts!
